CELEBRATING OUR PRINCIPAL AND FRIEND BRENDAN MAHER
For those of you who are unaware, our Principal and dear friend, Brendan Maher, announced that
he has accepted a job at St Mary’s Primary School in Yarrum, for the commencement of the 2018
school year. Whilst there are no words to describe how we will miss our leader, mentor and friend,
our hearts are filled with joy for both Brendan and his wife Jillian as they embark on a new chapter
in their lives.
Over the past few weeks we have questioned the best way to acknowledge the outstanding
contribution that Brendan has made to our Emmaus community during the past 11 years. After
consulting various people, Brendan included, it became evident that offering multiple opportunities
for the community to celebrate and gather during our end of year festivities would be the most
comfortable for Brendan while at the same time allowing everyone to participate in their own way.
Below we have outlined the dates and times of our upcoming school events where you are invited
to join with us in celebration, whilst also taking a moment to thank and farewell Brendan. You are
most welcome to attend multiple events and enjoy our wonderful community as we acknowledge
and honour his enormous contribution to Emmaus.
