Our Catholic identity is important to us.

Students are explicitly taught the Catholic faith tradition using the Awakenings curriculum. Students engage in Religious Education lessons for a total of 2.5 hours per week.

As a community we celebrate a whole school liturgy each week on Fridays mornings at 9:10am. All are welcome to attend.

Each liturgy begins with the following sentiment.

We welcome and invite all people of a diversity of faiths and communities, to Catholic prayer today. We invite you to participate in this prayer in a way that is right for you whether that be through reflection, meditation, singing, silence or witness. We invite you to come as you are and we acknowledge the journey of each of us as we work to build our relationship with God. You are invited to engage with the Scripture today in a way that nourishes your soul.

Students all experience the Catholic faith tradition here at Emmaus and are invited to engage in meaningful ways.

Staff are invited to prayer weekly.

Emmaus Catholic Primary School acknowledges that the land on which our beautiful school sits is the country of the Wadawurrung people. 

We pay respect to their elders past and present. We acknowledge the memories of their ancestors and celebrate their continuing culture.
